The Nowgong Sports Association inaugurated its first-ever Inter-School Volleyball Tournament 2026 at Nurul Amin Stadium, Nagaon, on 18 July 2026. The inaugural ceremony was formally opened by former national volleyball player Manjula Laskar, who inspired the participants with a motivational address. Former national volleyball players Yasmin Aktara and Anima Kalita attended the event as distinguished guests. The programme, hosted by Prasanta Das, Secretary of the Volleyball Section, was held in the presence of Tapan Kr. Das, General Secretary, Ujjal Baruah, Joint Secretary, Debajit Das, Ground Secretary, Prantar Bhattacharya, Sectional Secretary (Football), and Ghanashyam Das, Executive Member of the Nowgong Sports Association. The tournament commenced with great enthusiasm, bringing together talented young volleyball players from schools across the district to showcase their skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship. The tournament will conclude on 19 July 2026.
