On 22nd October 2025, in Nagaon, the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Assam, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, formally inaugurated the newly constructed modern swimming pool at Mahatma Gandhi Path (near Marar Park), under the Assam Government's City Infrastructure Development Fund (CIDF), in the presence of Hon'ble MLA Nagaon, Shri Rupak Sarmah.
The Olympic-standard swimming pool was built at a cost of approximately Rs. 7 crore 12 lakh 73 thousand 281. This advanced facility has been developed to benefit athletes and promote high standards in sports.
