The Opening Ceremony of the Satindra Mohan Dev (Zonal U-15) Football Tournament 2026, organized by the Nowgong Sports Association (NSA), was held on 28 August 2026 at Nurul Amin Stadium, Nagaon. The tournament was formally inaugurated by Mr. Soon Moni Saikia, Superintendent of Police, Raha Co-District, in the presence of office bearers and officials of the Nowgong Sports Association, including Tapan Kr. Das, General Secretary; Asim Kr. Bhowal, Treasurer; Ujjal Baruah, Joint Secretary; Prantar Bhattacharya, Sectional Secretary (Football); and Diganta Bora, Sectional Secretary (Basketball). Dibya Jyoti Sarmah, Match Commissioner, was also present on the occasion. The opening ceremony marked the commencement of an exciting platform for young footballers to showcase their talent, discipline, teamwork, and sporting spirit. The Nowgong Sports Association expressed its sincere gratitude to all distinguished guests, officials, participating teams, players, coaches, and supporters for their valuable presence and contribution towards making the opening ceremony a grand success, and extended its best wishes to all participating teams for a successful and memorable tournament.
