The Fourth Division Qualifying Football Tournament, organized under the aegis of the Nowgong Sports Association, commenced on 18th September 2025. The matches are being held at the Nurul Amin Stadium, with two games played on the opening day among five participating teams.

The tournament was officially inaugurated by state-level athlete Chitraban Hazarika, who attended as the Chief Guest. In the opening matches, Kaziranga Green Football Club and the 9th Assam Police Battalion team from Borampur emerged victorious.

In the match held on Ground No. 1, Kaziranga Green FC defeated Supernova Sports Club with a convincing score of 4–1. Meanwhile, on Ground No. 2, the 9th Assam Police Battalion team dominated Sanskar Club, securing a 7–1 victory.

Before the start of the tournament, Chief Guest Chitraban Hazarika, along with distinguished guests — Nagaon Circle Officer Rishikesh Bora, Kanthiram Raja, and Biman Phukan — were felicitated for their presence and support.

Following a welcome speech by General Secretary Mr. Tapan Kumar Das, the guests were introduced to the participating players.
