The Nurul Amin Prize Money First Division Inter-Club Football Tournament for the ongoing year, organized by the Nowgong Sports Association, began on 12th October 2025 at the Nurul Amin Stadium. A total of eight recognized teams of the association participated in the tournament.

In the opening matches held on Ground No. 1, Youth Club defeated Amlan Goshti by a score of 2–1. For the winning team, Konjung Bam J. Singh and S. N. Singh scored the goals, while Mayukh Gogoi netted the lone goal for Amlan Goshti.

Meanwhile, in another match held on Ground No. 2, Star Sporting Club secured a dominant 5–0 victory over Sanjeevan Samaj, earning league points. For Star Sporting, Dipankar Konwar scored twice, while Mintu Mech, Preet Sona, and Akash Jyoti Deka each contributed one goal.

The tournament was formally inaugurated by former state footballer Padma Kanta Bora. The welcome speech at the inaugural ceremony was delivered by the association’s General Secretary Tapan Kumar Das. Also present at the event were Treasurer Ashim Bhowal, Vice President Dr. Krishna Kumar Bora, Joint Secretary Ujjal Barua, and Football Branch Secretary Prantar Kumar Bhattacharjee, among other officials.
